I love this family.

July 31st was the 2nd Annual Hannan Family Reunion! It couldn't have been a more perfect day on the St. Lawrence River. I had a blast planning and I am already excited about the 3rd annual! For those of you who have no idea what this incredible event is....I will tell you. The reunion idea was born when I was sitting in the library studying in January. I was studying (a.k.a daydreaming) about summertime on the River. I was really missing my family and all of the fun things we used to do as kids. Hence, the birth of the reunion. So, it is about coming together as a family playing games (wiffleball, rundown, texas horse shoes and kan jam), swimming, jet skiing, tubing, relaxing and don't forget the drinking (right Mike?!).

Though we dearly missed Tommy, Shelby and baby Owen we had some fun and exciting things going on. When we FINALLY got everyone together I had a chance to officially hand out the t-shirts. The shirts have corresponding numbers to the cousin birth order. There are 15 "official" or "original" cousins and as we have more come into the family we tack them on at the end. Hence, Brent #16, Shelby #17 and Owen #18. Also, any significant others that are invited (it is very exclusive) we make sure that the back of their shirt reads 00. They are not in the family yet! I am handing the shirts out and Brooke shows me the back of hers. It reads #19! Wait, how did that happen? Oh my gosh, I messed up the t-shirt order. Nope, she flashes her beautiful ring and it is official! Danny and Brooke were engaged. It took a while to sink in and for me to understand that it was real (this is not the first time they have pulled this). After we confirmed everything Mimp gave a great toast and we kicked off the day. It was a blast and I am so thankful for my incredible family. I love you all.

Checking out the bling!
