Honeymoon Day 2

Day Two: Travis woke up early and hit the gym for a 12 mile run. He had to run on the honeymoon because he is training to run the Marine Corps Marathon on October 30th. This gave me a chance to sleep in a bit and then hit the spa for an hour long massage. I have only had two massages before this, and let me tell you, they did not compare at all. This one started with tea, a rose petal foot bath followed by the most amazing massage of my life. It felt great to unwind, relax and start the trip off on the right foot. I hung out in the villa reading on the lounge chairs waiting for my hubby to return. After he showered up we were off to check out the beach for the afternoon.

Eating lunch

Travis and I soaked up the incredible authentic Mexican cuisine at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ordering quesadillas, chips and guacamole with Mexican salsa. It was our favorite and had it almost everyday.

With a beer in hand of course

Another dip before dinner

What was great about the Banyan Tree was the fact that they provide transport to both the Rosewood and Fairmont resorts for dinner. There are only two restaurants on the Banyan Tree property, so it was nice to explore other places for dinner. For our first dinner out we went to the Rosewood and sat outside next to the beautiful pools for dinner. Here is a picture of Travis and I enjoying a drink.

When we came home we found this!
