A step back in time

For the long Columbus day weekend, Travis and I decided to take a little day trip to Gettysburg, PA. We  both have a love for history, especially US Military History. (Seriously, I would have been a History major if I didn't have to write any papers.) We first went to the Museum & Visitor Center for a film and the cyclorama. This gave us a ton of great background information. It is surprising how much information I forgot since 7th grade, or did not even know! Then it was off on a two hour bus tour. We visited the battlefields and monuments of both the North and the South throughout the Gettysburg area. It was both interesting and insightful. Then it was off for a quick look around the museum. And finally after a long day we were able to grab a beer and dinner at the Appalachian Brewing Company. It was the perfect Columbus Day!
